About Us

We believe in simplifying legal processes to empower our clients throughout their legal journey.

Principal

Jeanne Stokes

A member of the Queensland Law Society since 2013, Jeanne, brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge to Malanda Law.

With a lifelong connection to the Tablelands, her passion for the region and desire to build a country law firm culminated in the purchase of G L Prior & Associates in Malanda, during 2023.

Jeanne is an experienced solicitor, working in Cairns and on the Tablelands throughout her career. This has enabled her to truly understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the region.

Before embarking on her legal career, Jeanne was an entrepreneur jointly running three businesses with her partner and, earlier in her career, she cut her teeth in the Royal Australian Air Force before dedicating many years of service to Qantas where her focus on customer service was strengthened.

Jeanne’s diverse background and considerable experience with conveyancing and legal services in Far North Queensland means she can provide a unique understanding of her client’s needs and situations; while providing legal counsel that is considered, caring and relevant.
